Task map spraying offers many advantages. Growers can significantly reduce their use of chemicals. It is also better for the crop and has less environmental impact. You don't damage the crop, you just kill the weeds.

You need task maps or zone maps. Input can come from maps of soil types, topography or pest maps made by drones.

One of these technologies is Bilberry's intelligent syringe injection system. Agrifac developed AiCPlus for Condor's self-propelled sprayers. Agrifac has boom-mounted RGB colour cameras that identify weeds and crops by shape, texture and contrast. They detect specific weeds and apply the chemical only where the weed is present. This way you use less chemicals and only kill the weeds, so it's better for your crop and has less impact on the environment.
