The unloading sequence of the silo is exceptional as it unloads from the bottom, meaning that the feed that is put in first is also consumed first. The feed is also constantly moving around the edges of the silo. The large cyclone is gentle on the feed and pellets and allows efficient ventilation, so that no condensation water builds up in the silo.
There are differences in silos
At first glance, you might think that it doesn't matter what kind of silo you store your feed in, but on closer inspection, it does. Good feed hygiene is important. Simply preventing rodents and birds from getting hold of the feed is not enough. It is also important that the feed is always fresh and does not become clogged with condensation, which causes it to mould.
