How does the SyreN manure stabilisation system work?

The slurry is acidified during application via a spreader. A system mounted on the tractor's front linkage mixes the required amount of acid into the slurry. A pH meter continuously regulates the amount of acid required. All parts are acid-resistant up to the distributor.

The transporter uses the system to determine the pH value to which they want to lower the slurry - usually a pH value of 6. When acid is added, the mixture starts to foam and its volume increases significantly. For this reason, it is not possible to acidify the slurry earlier in the process - in the tank - but it must be added at the distribution unit.

Technical specifications and features

• We place the utmost importance on safety, so the front container is a double-walled IBC. For safety reasons, they are replaced every five years. All fittings are leak-proof.
• The pipes are made of stainless steel and Teflon, so there is no need to flush the system after use. For safety reasons, the pipes are replaced every six years.
• The unit is equipped with two water tanks for disconnecting the system from the tractor and for safety cleaning after tank replacement.
• The system is equipped with an ADR safety package.
• To ensure safety, we supply annually: a pH sensor head including calibration equipment, new acid-proof gloves.
• Dispensing will not work until a corresponding signal is received from the safety sensors.
• Camera system helps you see to the sides and in front of the container, for example at blind intersections
