The screwdriver is the future. As farm sizes grow and trucks become more common in the farm fleet, the screw-driven wagon will become an interesting alternative. Fields cannot support the point weight of a truck and are not really suitable for parallel driving at threshing speeds. The screw jack has tyres suitable for the field and the tractors are suitable for all conditions, so it is easiest to unload the thresher into the screw jack at speed and the screw jack directly into the truck.
Western has three sizes of wagons. Two-axle 20 m³ and 25 m³, and three-axle 34 m³. With the 25 m³ twin-axle wagon, you can keep up to three modern screwdrivers in motion at the same time.
Standard features include steering axle(s), spring-loaded axles, spring-loaded drawbar, brakes on each wheel, adjustable angle of the vertical screw and roller press. Theoretical discharge rate is 400t/h.
