Opportunity - Raytec Vision optical bulkheads

Opportunity is an optical food sorter that uses artificial intelligence (Deep Learning) for 360-degree quality control of products. A roller conveyor allows products to roll and matrix cameras capture entire frames of the rolling product, software improves product quality and replaces
manual sorting altogether.

Opportunity is based on the principle of self-learning and can be adapted to a range of different products. Thanks to its compact design and its ability to communicate with other machines. Opportunity can easily be placed on processing lines to complement production automation.

Opportunity is able to perform real-time ”identikit” of each product, from both sides. This allows the detection of even the smallest defect and the presence of necrosis in any part. The big advantage of AI is that the machine is ”trained! to take many pictures and easily adapts to growing quality control needs.
